Company comparison
Peak Trust Company-NV vs Premier Trust
Peak Trust Company-NV and Premier Trust, Inc. are both independent Nevada retail trust companies under NRS Chapter 669 on the FID list dated 26 January 2026. Peak's Nevada charter is one of two affiliated charters — the brand is headquartered in Anchorage with a separate Alaska charter — and it offers full, directed, or delegated trusteeship. Premier is Nevada-only, founded in 2001, does not manage investments, and says it can take one, two, or all three divided trustee roles. Same license class, different footprints. Not a ranking.

Both names are on the Nevada Financial Institutions Division retail list dated 26 January 2026. That is the license class, not a directed-trust statute package. Nevada directed-trust language lives in NRS 163.553–163.556 and in the instrument — see the Nevada state file and the Nevada directed trustees landing.
The useful difference is footprint. Peak runs one brand across Alaska and Nevada charters, so the first question is which charter and which office. Premier is a Nevada-only shop that leads with “we do not manage investments.” Read directed trustee vs corporate trustee and how to read a listing before you treat either homepage as the appointment.
What stays unknown
- Fees — neither listing reprints a schedule. Ask each firm; this page does not invent dollars.
- AUM / AUA — not published on the pages reviewed for either file. Peak's brochure counts of planners and families are marketing figures, not an AUM filing, and are not used here.
- Bonding, capital, or insurance figures for these two companies.
- Whether Peak will administer a Nevada file from Las Vegas or Anchorage, and which charter will be trustee of record.
- Whether a given mandate is directed, delegated, or a full discretionary seat.
Questions people actually ask
Which of these two is better?
This page does not pick a winner. It places published charter, ownership, and directed-trust role fields side by side so counsel can see what each firm has actually said. A ranking would invent a score we do not have.
Peak-NV or Peak-AK?
Peak maintains separate Alaska and Nevada charters under one brand. A Nevada situs appointment needs Peak Trust Company-NV, the name on the FID retail list. Alaska and Nevada law differ on lookback, duration, community property, and premium tax, so confirm the charter before anyone drafts situs recitals.
Does "does not manage investments" equal directed?
It is close to this directory's thesis, but it is not automatic. The instrument has to create a directing trust adviser, and the trustee has to accept that split. Nevada directed-fiduciary rules are in NRS 163.553–163.556. Confirm which of administration, investment, and distribution each firm will take.
