Sourced facts
- Named on the Nevada Financial Institutions Division retail trust company list dated 26 January 2026 as PEAK TRUST COMPANY-NV.
- A 2026 firm brochure states Peak has partnered with estate-planning professionals since 1997 and was the first independent trust company of its kind in Alaska.
- The same brochure claims service to 1,500+ estate planners and 2,500+ families. Treat those counts as marketing figures, not a regulatory AUM filing.
- The firm states it maintains separate Alaska and Nevada charters and offices in Anchorage and Las Vegas.
Notes
Peak Trust Company-NV is the Nevada retail charter of the Peak Trust brand. Peak’s own jurisdictional page says “Peak Trust Company” is the brand for affiliated state-chartered professional trust companies headquartered in Anchorage, with separate charters for Alaska and Nevada.
The firm is unusually explicit about role choice: traditional full trustee, directed trustee, or delegated arrangements. That is the right conversation to have in writing. The Nevada listing is what puts this name on a Nevada situs appointment. The Alaska story is relevant only if the instrument is actually an Alaska trust.
What to verify next
Confirm which charter will be the trustee of record — Peak Trust Company-NV or Peak Trust Company-AK — before anyone drafts situs recitals. Alaska and Nevada are not interchangeable on lookback, duration, community property, or premium tax. Ask whether the file will be administered from Anchorage or Las Vegas, and whether Peak will take a directed role only or also pitch full discretion and internal investment process. Do not use the brochure’s family/planner counts as diligence.
