Notes
Greenleaf Trust Delaware is on Delaware’s limited-purpose trust company roster at 20 Montchanin Road, Suite 160, Greenville. The 9 October 2026 Office of the State Bank Commissioner list names William D. Johnston as chairman. PR Newswire reported the limited-purpose charter on 23 January 2018.
The About page publishes a Directed Trustee Services track so a preferred RIA can keep the advisory relationship while the Delaware company administers. That is a real directed-trust product. The same page, and the holding-company disclosure on the locations page, also describe investment management and an in-house research team. Write the platform overlay into the file. This page does not invent AUM.
What to verify next
Use the directed seat when counsel wants Delaware administration and a non-Greenleaf RIA on the book — get that split in the instrument. The About page also sells in-house research and portfolio construction, and the holding-company disclosure says both Greenleaf Trust and Greenleaf Trust Delaware provide investment management. Confirm which entity signs, whether a third-party adviser sits on equal terms, and that Greenville is the administering office. Ask for a current fee schedule; do not invent fees. Omit AUM.
